A telescopic type bellows way cover is a deeply folded cover that compresses into a short stack, protecting a long axis stroke where there is little room for the cover to gather.
What is a telescopic bellows cover?
On long-travel axes the cover has to shrink to a fraction of its extended length when the axis closes up. The telescopic construction uses deep, stepped folds that nest into a compact stack, so a long guideway stays sealed against chips, coolant and dust without the cover fouling the machine at the end of travel.
Fold height, compression ratio and cloth material are all made to the machine’s stroke and environment.
