An enclosed type cable drag chain is a plastic energy chain with a fully closed top cover that seals cables, oil pipes and air lines away from cutting chips, dust and coolant splash.
What is an enclosed type cable drag chain?
The enclosed cable drag chain wraps the cable bundle in a closed shell so debris cannot reach the lines during the machine’s reciprocating motion. It is used on machine tools, laser processing equipment, automated lines and precision equipment where an open chain would collect chips or coolant.
The sealed top cover still opens with a flat screwdriver, so cables can be installed and serviced without dismantling the whole chain — keeping the fast-maintenance benefit of an open chain while adding full debris protection.

How is it different from an open cable chain?
The enclosed top cover blocks dust, metal shavings and coolant splash from entering, which suits cutting and machining environments. Open chains are better for cleaner areas where debris is not a concern.
Can I still maintain the cables inside?
Yes. Pry open the sealed top cover with a flathead screwdriver to install, inspect or replace cables directly, without taking the whole chain apart.
