Bellow type rubber cover

Oil-resistant rubber bellows for vertical (Z-axis) ways.

A bellow-type rubber cover is a flexible oil-resistant rubber-fabric guard for the vertical (Z-axis) ways of CNC and milling machines, whose wave structure sheds metal chips off the sliding surface.

What is a Z-axis bellow-type rubber cover?

Made from premium oil-resistant rubber fabric, this cover is engineered for the vertical ways of CNC and traditional milling machines. Its corrugated wave (bellow) geometry minimises flat surface area so chips slide off rather than accumulate, and it synchronises with Z-axis movement for smooth telescopic action that extends guideway life.

It is the ideal solution for metal-cutting environments with multi-directional chip splash, and is made to drawing for the stroke and installation envelope.

Engineering focus

  • Advanced oil-resistant fabric that resists cutting fluids and lubricants over millions of cycles
  • Self-cleaning wave geometry that encourages chips to slide off
  • Reinforced corrosion-resistant metal fixing frames on the end folds for a secure, vibration-resistant mount
  • High tensile-to-compression ratio for long vertical travel in a compact envelope

Typical applications

  • Vertical (Z) axes of CNC machining centres
  • Traditional milling machines
  • Metal-cutting machines with multi-directional chip splash
  • Order type
    Customised / made to drawing
Why a rubber bellow cover for the Z-axis?

The oil-resistant rubber fabric resists cutting fluids and the wave geometry sheds chips instead of collecting them, which protects vertical guideways where chips splash from many directions.

How is it mounted?

The first and last folds carry reinforced, corrosion-resistant metal fixing frames for a secure, vibration-resistant mount to the machine casting.

Can it handle long vertical travel in tight spaces?

Yes. A high tensile-to-compression ratio gives long vertical travel within a compact installation envelope, which suits modern machining centres.

How do you quote one?

Send the stroke, the installation clearances and the chip/coolant conditions. We review the stroke constraints so the cover does not sag or foul the tool changer, and reply within 24–48 hours.

Rapid quote — send axis travel, dimensions, environment severity and quantity. Reply within 24–48 hours.
