Casting Polyurethane
Casting polyurethane parts.
Casting polyurethane parts are cast PU components that combine rubber-like flexibility with high wear resistance, made to the shape and hardness you need.
What is cast polyurethane?
Cast polyurethane (PU) sits between rubber and plastic: it flexes like rubber but resists abrasion, tearing and oil far better, so it lasts in demanding wear applications such as rollers, pads, wheels and bushings. Parts are cast to drawing in a range of hardnesses.
Key points
- Rubber-like flexibility with high wear resistance
- Resists abrasion, tearing and oil
- For rollers, pads, wheels and bushings
- Cast to drawing in a range of hardnesses
- Order typeCustomised / made to drawing
Why polyurethane instead of rubber?
PU keeps rubber-like flexibility but resists abrasion, tearing and oil much better, so it lasts longer in wear parts. We cast it to your drawing and hardness.
